Back in the saddle

I got a call from the permanent sub at DMS today...my younger daughter's social studies teacher is going to be out Monday and maybe even Tuesday and Wednesday, so I get to take his class! I emailed him, found out what section he was on, and put together a lesson plan and lesson. It was absolutely wonderful, and unbelievably easy. I'm now working on the next section. I'm not disappointed that I didn't get a job...I now get to try seventh grade on for size. I not only have the textbook, thanks to my daughter being in the class, but I also have the opportunity to ask her what she thinks. She's really excited about it too...better yet, I can ask her honest opinion about how I did. I'll be back to reflect.
